Job summary

Bayside Fire and Security, LLC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler System Foreman to lead installation crews on commercial, residential, and industrial projects. You will interpret drawings, plan daily work, and supervise installation of piping, valves, and hardware while ensuring code compliance and safety.

The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of NFPA standards, and the ability to train apprentices on proper installation techniques on tight timelines.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a fire protection foreman.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, fire codes, and system installation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Proficient in pipe fittings, threading, grooving, and system layout.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to travel to job sites as needed.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage crew workloads on tight timelines.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, lifts, and job-site equipment.
• Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work in various work environments (heights, attics, crawlspaces, outdoors, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate installation crews on job sites.
• Interpret and implement construction drawings, specifications, and hydraulic calculations.
• Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and monitor crew productivity and performance.
• Oversee the installation of all fire sprinkler system components, including piping, hangers, valves, and equipment.
• Ensure systems are installed according to NFPA standards, local, state, and federal codes.
• Conduct on-site quality checks and confirm accurate measurements, pipe routing, and system layout.
• Coordinate with general contractors, inspectors, project managers, supervisors, and other trades.
• Track material usage, request supplies, and manage inventory on job site.
• Help perform system tests and inspections.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and project documentation.
• Enforce safety procedures and ensure a clean & safe working environment.
• Train and mentor apprentices and helpers in proper installation techniques.
