Job summary

Unlimited Technology, Inc. is hiring a Security Installation Technician to support our growing team across the East Coast. You will read drawings, install and program intrusion, access control and IP video systems, and lead installation efforts at customer sites.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3 years of security installation experience, travel 25–50%, and a valid driver's license. Knowledge of security equipment brands and the ability to work in confined spaces are important.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of security installation experience with network ability.
• Knowledge of security equipment systems (intrusion, access control).
• Able to install and maintain alarms, access control, and assessment devices.
• Willingness to travel on East Coast as needed.
• Valid state driver license with clean driving record (past 3 years).

Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and equipment schematics.
• Provide direction and leadership for system installations.
• Install and program Alarm (Intrusion), Access Control, IP video systems.
• Provide updates to project manager and customers.
• Test, troubleshoot and preform necessary corrections to security system.

Requirements

• High school diploma or state-recognized equivalent.
• At least 3 years of security installation experience and network ability.
• Knowledgeable of security equipment systems (i.e., intrusion detection, assessment, and access control).
• Capable of installing and maintaining various alarms, access control, and assessment system devices.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, work extended hours, and travel independently.
• Valid state driver license with a clean driving record for the last three (3) years.
• Able to travel 25-50% as needed

Qualifications

• Prior troubleshooting experience a plus.
• Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Project a bonus.
• Willingness to travel on the East Coast, if needed.
• Security industry certifications
• Knowledge of: Software House, Lenel, AMAG, Galaxy, Brivo, Bosch, and/or Genetec.
