Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Security Install Technician in Greer, SC to perform installation, testing, and commissioning of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage security systems. You will read blueprints, install panels and devices, and ensure proper function and compliance with codes.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years in the fire and life safety industry, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years in fire and life safety industry as apprentice or technician preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record if driving role.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage security systems.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and manuals.
• Install system components including devices, panels, wiring, and hardware per specs.
• Test and verify proper functionality and compliance with codes and requirements.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and complete corrective actions promptly.
• Complete documentation, work orders, and project reports accurately.

Build your career with the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company.The Security Install Technician is responsible for performing the installation, testing, and commissioning of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and other low-voltage systems. This role is fully functioning within core technical responsibilities and can complete standard installation jobs.
