Job summary

EnerStaff LLC is seeking a Blind Installation Technician in Friendswood, TX. This temp-to-hire role runs 7am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with start ASAP.

You will measure windows, safely install brackets and hardware, remove old coverings, and train customers on operation and maintenance of blinds, including motorized options.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, carpentry/installation experience, ability to lift 50+ pounds, read blueprints, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in carpentry, construction, or in-home installation preferred.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and climb ladders.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Pass background check and drug screen.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately measure windows using tape or lasers for accurate ordering of custom window treatments
• Safely install mounting brackets, secure hardware, and hang various window coverings (e.g., drapes, traditional and motorized blinds, shutters, and awnings).
• Remove existing window coverings, treat surrounding surfaces, and prepare area for new installation
• Instruct clients on product maintenance, operation, and safety features (especially for motorized treatments)
• Maintain a clean work environment, safely manage ladders, and comply with all safety regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in carpentry, construction, or in-home installation is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools (drills, screwdrivers) and the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds, stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods.
• Excellent problem-solving, strong verbal communication, and a friendly, courteous demeanor.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
