Job summary

EnerStaff LLC in Friendswood, TX is seeking a Blind Installation Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity. The role starts ASAP, with a 7am-4:30pm weekday schedule and a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

You will measure, install, and service window coverings, read blueprints, handle ladders safely, and instruct customers on operation and safety features. A high school diploma and physical capability are required.

Qualifications

Blind Installation Technician

Temp-to-Hire

Location: Friendswood, TX 77546

Shift: 7am-4:30pm M-F

Pay: $17.00/ hour

Start: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately measure windows using tape or lasers for accurate ordering of custom window treatments
• Safely install mounting brackets, secure hardware, and hang various window coverings (e.g., drapes, traditional and motorized blinds, shutters, and awnings).
• Remove existing window coverings, treat surrounding surfaces, and prepare area for new installation
• Instruct clients on product maintenance, operation, and safety features (especially for motorized treatments)
• Maintain a clean work environment, safely manage ladders, and comply with all safety regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in carpentry, construction, or in-home installation is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools (drills, screwdrivers) and the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds, stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods.
• Excellent problem-solving, strong verbal communication, and a friendly, courteous demeanor.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
