Job Details – Location: Manufacturing, Charlotte, NC 28273 – Position Type: Full Time
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and interpret system specifications, circuit schematics, assembly details, and arrangement drawings to generate accurate cost estimates for installation of hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and electronic systems.
- Prepare schematics, outline drawings, and Bill of Materials required for installations using quotation documents and specifications for hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and electronic systems; coordinate with Purchasing and Manufacturing to ensure components and documentation are available on schedule; act as a technical resource for installation requirements.
- Fabricate assemblies from drawings, schematics, bill of material, sketches, photographs or customer requirements in a timely manner; pursue product knowledge and advanced training to achieve higher quality, production, job titles, and pay grades.
- Layout control panels, units, and systems; basic structural fabrication and use of STICK, MIG, & TIG welding processes of structural steel and pipe.
- Provide strong hands‑on ability to layout, assemble, fabricate, wash, paint, process, ship, and install custom lubrication assemblies, panels, packages, skids, and systems.
- Read, understand, mark‑up, and process schematics, drawings, bills of material, quality sheets, test reports, and shipping documentation.
- Set‑up and operate welders, plasma cutters, torch sets, pipe threading machine, band saws, drill presses, magnetic drill press, iron worker, hose machines, tube benders, tube flaring machines, steam pressure washer, forklifts, overhead cranes, paint booth equipment, and company vehicles.
- Specify, size, measure, cut, assemble, crimp, clean, install, and train others in fabrication of hoses and tubes; fabricate brackets, clamps, supports, mounting pads, skids, frames, and structures.
- Weld structural steel, couplings, pipe, brackets, etc. using STICK, MIG, and TIG processes in shop or field environments.
- Wire and test basic lubricating controls and system components.
- Continuously improve knowledge of product types, operation, applications, and model codes while assisting subordinates; improve knowledge of fabrication processes, procedures, and practices.
- Maintain and promote a positive relationship and teamwork with other employees.
- Maintain a clean and safe driving record and adhere to company driving policies.
Education
- High school diploma.
- Welding inspection.
- Advanced welding.
- Hydraulics Principles.
- High mechanical aptitude score.

- MSHA certified.

Experience
- Five years in an industrial related field.
- Three years of Stick, MIG, or TIG welding.
- Three years in a hydraulic related field.
- Three years as a lead man or foreman.

Working Conditions
This is a full‑time position. Candidates should reside within a 50‑mile radius of the facility in Charlotte, NC. Some weekend and overtime may be required. Some travel will be required, typically within the Southeast, US. Lifting of 50+ lbs and prolonged standing for long periods of time will be required. All personnel must create and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
