Job summary

Allegion is seeking an Install Technician for Stanley Access Technologies in the Ontario/Los Angeles area. The role involves installation and service of automatic doors, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

AAADM certification is a valued credential and a $3,000 signing bonus is offered upon completion. You will perform preventive maintenance, document work accurately, and stay current with equipment changes and safety standards while maintaining a professional appearance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license without restrictions.
• Ability to lift 75-100lbs.
• Excellent Oral & Written communication skills.
• Flexible work schedule including nights and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Install or service doors as designated in a profitable and proper manner.
• Record productive time versus travel time.
• Perform preventive maintenance per service program for each customer.
• Maintain accurate work records and parts used.
• Stay updated on changes to Stanley equipment and ANSI 156.10 standards.
• Keep manuals and details up to date with changes advised.
• Maintain company vehicles and tools in good condition.
• Present neat appearance and workmanship per policy.
• Maintain inventory log and parts for service vehicle.
• Test equipment before leaving site and perform safety checks.
• Maintain good customer relations and service quality.
• Assist and instruct others in install/service methods.

What You Will Do:

• Perform installation or service work as designated in profitable and proper manner. Record productive time versus travel time.
• Perform preventive maintenance work in accordance with service program designated for specific customer.
• Maintain accurately all work records and parts used at each job in accordance with established procedure.
• Keep updated on all changes/modifications to Stanley equipment and Ansi156.10 standard as notified through published communications.
• Keep manuals and all details up to date as changes are advised.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and other property in proper manner.
• Present neat and clean appearance personally and in workmanship, in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain adequate parts inventory for service vehicle; keep inventory log.
• Test equipment before leaving job site; perform safety check.
• Maintain good customer relations and customer service.
• Assist and instruct others in install/service methods.

What You Need to Succeed:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license without restrictions.
• Ability to lift 75-100lbs.
• Excellent Oral & Written communication skills.
• Sitting while driving for periods of time up to 2 hours but not limited to.
• Standing on concrete for periods of time up to 8 hours but not limited to.
• Stooping, Crouching, Kneeling, Crawling, and twisting spine occasionally.
• Vision not limited to near, far or colors.
• Ability to work in various climates.
• Flexible work schedule is a must with the ability to work nights and/or weekends as necessary.

Additional Preferred Skills & Knowledge:

• Associates Degree in related electrical, mechanical, industrial field
• Prior experience in the construction industry or electrical field
• Prior experience servicing automated doors, glazing, installing glass, installing door frames, building door frames, reading blueprints, AAADM Certification
