Job summary

ENFRA is seeking an Install Service Technician III - HVAC in Orlando, FL to lead crews on crane-supported projects and install HVAC/refrigeration systems. You will startup and commission DX equipment, VRF, DOAS, and related systems, following detailed drawings and safety policies.

You will read elevations and shop drawings, coordinate with team members, and ensure quality workmanship while adhering to project schedules and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience wiring and piping HVAC systems.
• Experience with startup and commissioning of HVAC/DX equipment is required.
• Ability to read and interpret elevation drawings and shop drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew on projects involving crane operation.
• Install or replace boilers, rooftop units, unit heaters, WSHPs, EF, AHU, and related equipment.
• Perform startup and commissioning for DX equipment, chilled water AHUs, VFDs, FCUs, and VRF/DOAS systems.
• Interpret final product elevation drawings and installation methods.
• Create shop drawings from mechanical drawings showing plan and elevation views.
• Understand equipment submittals and usage.
• Identify and sketch HVAC/refrigeration system components.
• Promote and practice all company safety procedures and policies.
• Travel 0-5% to job sites/office locations.

Overview

The Install Service Technician III - HVAC is responsible for conducting the installation of HVAC & refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Ability to lead a crew on a project involving a crane.
• Installation or replacement of a boiler, rooftop unit, unit heater, WSHP, EF, AHU, etc.
• Start up and commission for all DX Equipment, Chilled Water AHUs, VFDs, FCUs, Packaged Unit including VRF and DOAS Units, Cooling Towers and Pumps, Boilers, Hot Water Heaters.
• Understanding of final product elevation drawings and installation techniques.
• Uses a mechanical drawing to create a shop drawing showing the plan and elevation views.
• Understanding of equipment submittals and their usage.
• Accurately identifies and sketches components of an HVAC & refrigeration system.
• Promotes and performs all aspects of company safety procedures and policies.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• Experience in pipefitting.
• Experience in minor ductwork making transitions to HVAC equipment.
• Startup & Commissioning experience.
• Crane signaling and rigging experience.
• Working knowledge of a VRF system.
• Working knowledge of a chiller, cooling tower, and pumps.
• Working knowledge of DDC system operations.
• Working knowledge of a VFD and its function.
• Must be able and willing to follow job-site instructions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• Current Licensed Technician or verifiable experience in service of commercial HVAC systems.
• Holds an EPA Certification.

Travel Requirements

• 0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

• Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
• Climbing stairs.
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
• Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Operating machinery and/or power tools.
• Low indoor temperature.
• High indoor temperature.
• Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.

• Medium work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
