Troon Electric of New Jersey LLC is seeking an experienced Access Control Installer to join our security systems team. This field role covers commercial access control and low-voltage security work across New York and New Jersey.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years in access control, experience with Honeywell/Pro-Watch, and the ability to read wiring diagrams. Must hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel regionally.

Access Control Installer

Troon Electric of New Jersey LLC is looking for an experienced Access Control Installer to join our security systems team. This is a field position working on commercial access control and low-voltage security systems throughout New York and New Jersey.

We’re looking for someone who can work independently, install new systems, troubleshoot existing systems, and take pride in quality installation and service work.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate card readers, keypad readers, proximity readers, door hardware, and low-voltage cabling.
• Install new access control and low-voltage security systems as well as modify, reconnect, and troubleshoot existing systems.
• Work with intercom and access control systems.
• Troubleshoot cabling, locks, readers, power supplies, and related devices.
• Follow door/panel schedules, wiring diagrams, and installation documentation.
• Coordinate with programmers and other project team members during system programming and commissioning.
• Complete field documentation and communicate job status and site conditions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with access control and low-voltage security systems.
• Honeywell/Pro-Watch experience required.
• Experience installing, terminating, and troubleshooting access control hardware and low-voltage wiring.
• Experience with both new system installations and existing system upgrades/service work.
• Fluent English communication skills are required to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, vendors, and project partners and to understand technical, installation, and safety instructions.
• Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams and system documentation.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel throughout New York and New Jersey.
• High-voltage electrical experience is a plus, but not required.
