Job summary

The role focuses on safeguarding high standards, implementing NSW public education initiatives and fostering strong partnerships with staff, families and the wider community.

The successful candidate will steer curriculum, wellbeing programs and data-informed planning to close gaps and promote inclusive learning.

Qualifications

• High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education.
• Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs.
• High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community.
• Ability to lead staff in implementing the Department’s Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of new curriculum and explicit teaching initiatives aligned with NSW Plan for Public Education.
• Foster wellbeing systems that promote positive relationships and a safe school environment.
• Oversee planning, resourcing and performance to improve teaching and learning across Kindergarten to Year 6.
• Engage with staff, parents and community to build authentic partnerships and support student growth.
