Job summary

London Bridges Child Development Center is seeking a Preschool Teacher to join our team in Pittsburgh. The role focuses on creating a safe, engaging classroom and supervising children with emphasis on their holistic development.

The candidate should have a high school diploma and ideally a CDA/Associate/Bachelor's in early childhood education, with experience in a childcare setting. Pennsylvania clearances and health requirements must be met.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma Required
• CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Experience with young children in childcare or preschool setting preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment.
• Supervise children at all times while ensuring their health and safety.
• Implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences and daily activities.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Support children's social-emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and readiness throughout the day.
• Complete daily documentation, observations, and communication with families.
• Follow all DHS licensing regulations and London Bridges policies and procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers to create a positive team culture.
