Qualifications

• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training/work experience for certification waivers under the DOI.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• CPR/AED certification for Physical Education teachers (to be maintained).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and accommodations for student differences.
• Plan instructional strategies, activities, materials, and technology to meet diverse learning needs as per TEA guidelines.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to plan instruction.
• Modify curricula for special education students with IEP guidelines.
• Collaborate with staff to set goals and methods per district requirements.
• Supervise instructional aides/volunteers and oversee completion of assigned work.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement and participate in extracurricular activities.
• Be a positive role model and support the school district’s mission.
