Job summary

Charter Schools USA is seeking a middle school permanent substitute to enable student learning in the absence of the regular teacher. You will follow preplanned lessons, maintain classroom routines, and report daily activities to the principal.

Applicants should have a BS/BA degree or equivalent, complete the district substitute workshop, and demonstrate strong time management and communication skills in a school environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment toward the job and CSUSA mission.
• Works with staff at all levels and is sensitive to corporate needs and public image.
• Time Management – Prioritizing, Organizing, Scheduling
• Computer basics: Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook; strong written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Teaches the lessons prepared by the absent teacher and follows plans.
• Reports daily activities in writing and provides feedback to the principal.
• Follows CSUSA policies, rules, and procedures for substitute teachers.
• Consults with the principal or supervisor before initiating any non-specified activity.
• Maintains classroom routines and student behavior aligned to school standards.
