Spotsylvania County Public Schools is seeking a Middle School Special Education Paraeducator to support teachers in self-contained classrooms for students with autism, developmental delays, multiple disabilities, and behavioral needs.

The position is hourly and part-time with a flexible schedule. Requires a high school diploma or GED; associates degree preferred and 2+ years working with children in instructional settings. Salary is $16.34 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• Minimum two years working with children in instructional/educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with organization and completion of daily work.
• Maintain safe, nurturing environment and support social skills and personal hygiene as needed.
• Monitor and redirect student behavior in small groups.
