Job summary

Plano ISD is seeking a Middle School Music (Orchestra) teacher for a .5 position at Frankford Middle School. You will deliver engaging orchestra instruction, design activities aligned with the district's curriculum, and support student growth in music.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree and a Texas teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements; ESL/Special Education certifications may be required for other positions. Collaboration with staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required and Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for the subject and level.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject assigned.
• Certification in ESL or Special Education where indicated by position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and show written evidence of preparation.
• Present subject matter following TEA guidelines and school policies.
• Plan and use instructional strategies, accommodations, and technology for diverse learners.
• Assess student learning and adjust activities accordingly.
• Coordinate with staff to meet IEP goals and district requirements.
• Maintain professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
