Qualifications

• Assigned position; subject and level training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for different learning styles.
• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and policies.
• Plan and supervise assignments of aides and volunteers.
• Collaborate with administrators and staff to meet curriculum objectives.
• Collaborate with special education to modify curricula per IEP.
• Help students analyze and improve study methods.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement.
• Manage student behavior per Code of Conduct.
• Protect students, equipment, and facilities; ensure safety.
• Assist in selection of books, equipment, and instructional materials.
• Maintain open communication with parents, students, principals and teachers.
• Compile and file reports and necessary documentation.
• Attend faculty meetings and serve on staff committees.
• Participate in staff development activities to improve skills.
• Daily attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
