• Provides learning experiences and supervision in a positive classroom climate that develops in each child the skills, attitudes, and knowledge to meet and exceed the State Core Curriculum Content Standards, following the approved curricula and directives of the school.
• Strives to meet the highly effective criteria for lesson plan preparation, data-driven instruction, quality instruction, differentiation for diverse learners, classroom environment, leadership, and professionalism.
• Works collaboratively with other staff and with parents of each child.
• Demonstrates knowledge of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment, and research related to learning.
• Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction.
• Experience working with middle school students.
• Has excellent integrity and demonstrates good moral character and initiative.
• Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respectful of others.
• Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and the community.
