Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with major or minor in Music.

Responsibilities

• Prepares standards-based music units aligned with the Massachusetts Arts Curriculum Framework.
• Demonstrates knowledge of general music and choral rehearsal techniques.
• Uses diverse music literature suitable for pupil levels.
• Applies rubrics to assess student progress, including ELL and special education inclusion.
• Maintains standards of pupil behavior and a positive learning environment.
• Evaluates and refines instructional strategies, including use of technologies.
• Collaborates with administration for musical programs at school productions, graduations and civic functions.
• Participates in curriculum and staff development programs.
• Performs other responsibilities per collective bargaining agreement.
