Qualifications

• BA in Music or Music Education required.
• Ability to work with musicians at all skill levels.

Responsibilities

• Teaches general music to K-5 and 5th grade beginner band.
• Plans, rehearses, and directs three school/community musical programs.
• Differentiates music curriculum to meet individual student needs.
• Plans a balanced program and manages daily class time for practice and instruction.
• Develops and refines curriculum based on Illinois Arts Learning Standards.
• Maintains standards of student behavior for productive practice and performances.
• Communicates progress with parents and staff on student development.
• Cooperates with Principal and staff to provide school musical programs.
• Participates in building committees.
