Job summary

Owasso Public Schools seeks a Junior High Head Coach to support the Varsity Head Coach and oversee junior high athletic programs in Owasso, OK. You will coach student-athletes, model sportsmanship, and help develop skills and teamwork while promoting discipline.

Responsibilities include planning practices, maintaining records, traveling with teams to games, and ensuring safety and compliance with OSSAA policies. Exempt, extra duty position reporting to Varsity Head Coach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate.
• OSSAA certificates required.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow district policies and OSSAA policies.
• Assist instruction and demonstrate skills for team achievement.
• Plan activities, practices, and games.
• Maintain necessary records and required paperwork promptly.
• Ensure a safe environment for student-athletes at all times.
• Travel with student-athletes on team buses to games/events.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records.

Education

Bachelor’s degree

Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate

OSSAA certificates

Commercial Drivers License (CDL) preferred
