Job summary

Sacred Heart School in Covina is seeking a full-time Junior High Math & Science teacher for grades 7 and 8. The candidate will design and deliver accelerated math and science instruction with a focus on higher-level computations, data analysis, and scientific reasoning, aligned to standards-based curriculum.

The role includes leading the Associated Student Council, coordinating field trips, and collaborating with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching math and science at middle/high school level.
• Bachelor’s degree required; teaching credential preferred.
• Experience in Catholic education setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaches five junior high core subjects and manages homeroom duties.
• Instruction follows standards-based California/Archdiocesan curriculum.
• Creates and submits lesson plans weekly.
• Uses Gradelink to maintain grades and attendance.
• Communicates regularly with students and families.
• Participates in PLCs to update curriculum and support students.
