Job summary

Waco ISD seeks a Teacher at Cedar Ridge Elementary to provide students with engaging learning experiences in core subjects. You will develop lesson plans, implement instruction, assess progress, and collaborate with staff and parents to support student growth.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate. The position is exempt/contracted with responsibilities that include classroom management and use of technology to enhance learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum.
• Plan lessons accommodating differences in student learning styles.
• Present subject matter according to TEA, board policies, and administrative regulations.
• Plan and use appropriate instructional strategies, activities, materials, and equipment reflecting learning styles and needs.
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction based on results.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEP guidelines.
• Collaborate with staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
