Job summary

Edmonds School District is seeking a 0.2 FTE non-continuing 6th Grade Beginning Strings Teacher to cover Meadowdale and Mountlake Terrace Elementary Schools. Classes meet twice weekly for 45 minutes each, using Essential Elements methods and district curriculum.

Preference given to candidates with ELL/ESOL or bilingual endorsements. SIOP and GLAD training must be completed within two years of employment and questions may be directed to Tam Osborne.

Qualifications

• Washington State Teaching Certificate with a Music endorsement, or the ability to obtain one prior to the position start date.
• Preference for candidates with ELL/ESOL or bilingual endorsements; SIOP and GLAD training required within two years.

Responsibilities

• Teach two elementary beginning 6th grade string classes (45 minutes) twice weekly.
• Follow district curriculum using the Essential Elements string technique.
• Training in SIOP/GLAD to be completed within the first two years of employment.
