ACCEL Schools LLC is hiring a highly qualified 5th Grade Teacher at Ohio College Preparatory School in Maple Heights, Ohio dedicated to providing a superior education for all students. We are seeking teachers who are passionate and dedicated to bringing the curriculum to life for each student.

The salary range for this position is $40,000 - 49,500. We offer benefits including paid time off, retirement contributions, optional life insurance, disability coverage, and career advancement

Qualifications

• Active and current Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in an urban education setting.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Ability to supervise students in various school settings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn in.
• Utilize school approved curricula reflecting diverse backgrounds.
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
• Communicate with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Incorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice.
• Participate in planning and implementation of non-instructional activities.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
