• Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of core academic subject; curriculum and instruction; ability to instruct students and manage behavior; strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect district curriculum and accommodations for diverse learners
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials aligned to TEA guidelines and district policies
• Assess student learning styles and adjust instruction accordingly
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs
• Set instructional goals with staff and assign tasks to aides/volunteers
• Establish a safe, productive classroom environment and manage student behavior
