Job summary

Mead School District in Spokane, Washington seeks a Leave Replacement 2nd Grade Teacher for Evergreen Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. 1.0 FTE leave replacement through the first semester, starting immediately.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver instruction, assess student progress, and maintain records in a supportive, standards-driven learning environment. WA teaching certificate required; CBA-based salary range applies.

Qualifications

• Washington State teaching certificate with endorsement(s) as required by law and regulation.
• No Child Left Behind highly qualified teacher in subject.
• Demonstrates ability to challenge students academically and promote learning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Provide for large and small group and individualized instruction to adapt curriculum.
• Establish clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Observe and evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
• Continually assess student progress and adjust lessons to meet needs.
