Job summary

LAKE CITY ELEMENTARY in Lake City, Georgia, is seeking an Elementary Teacher for 2nd grade to deliver instruction in reading, ELA, math, science and social studies, using current strategies to plan and implement lessons. This position reports to the Principal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience preferred.
• Certification by the State of Georgia in Education T-4 to T-7 as required by the GaPSC.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students using varied teaching methods to cover content areas.
• Assigns lessons, checks homework, administers tests, and informs parents of progress.
• Maintains classroom discipline and supervises behavior outside the classroom.
• Prepares course outlines and objectives according to curriculum guidelines.
• Conducts parent/teacher conferences and participates in meetings/workshops.
• All other duties, as assigned.
