Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Elementary Education or related discipline.
• Practicing Catholic preferred but not required to teach religion/theology.

Responsibilities

• Instruct children in assigned subjects and adapt instruction to meet individual needs.
• Observe the Code of Professional Ethics and uphold Catholic school philosophy.
• Plan lessons, prepare materials, and participate in faculty meetings and training.
• Communicate with parents about student progress and classroom matters.
• Supervise students before, during, and after school and use technology effectively.

Education

Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or valid out-of-state certificate

Enrolled in accredited licensure program (professional licensure pursuits)
