Normandale Community College is seeking one part-time faculty member for the dental hygiene program to provide instruction in classroom, lab, and clinical settings. Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and a graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Three full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a dental hygienist.
• One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
• Current Dental Hygienist License from the Minnesota Board of Dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Teach dental hygiene courses in a variety of formats that include traditional, alternative delivery methods, and virtual learning environments.
• Provide instruction in an inclusive and equitable manner to a diverse student body.
• Design and deliver instruction that incorporates technologies that advance learning.
• Provide quality instruction that incorporates a variety of current teaching techniques and pedagogies that positively impact the student and field of dental hygiene.
• Maintain ongoing professional development activities that support the college mission, the field of dental hygiene, and the student.
• Actively engage in college service, department activities, and student support.
• Participate in program review and/or accreditation efforts.
• Provide learning activities that promote interprofessional education and collaborative in the health sciences division.
