Job summary

Morris County Department of Public Works, Division of Mosquito Control is seeking an Inspector Trainee, Mosquito Extermination. Under direction, you will learn to locate breeding areas, apply controls and support mosquito management efforts.

Responsibilities include inspecting habitats, learning chemical and biological controls, assisting the public, and basic equipment maintenance. A valid NJ driver's license is required and you will work outdoors in varying weather conditions while pursuing

Qualifications

• Appointees will be required to possess a valid New Jersey driver's license.
• Successful candidates must become a licensed Pesticide Applicator.
• Needs to have the ability to understand information about insects, particularly mosquitoes.
• Must be able to keep records and follow a map as well as work outside in various weather conditions.

Brief Description Of Job And Division/Department

Morris County Department of Public Works, Division of Mosquito Control is currently accepting applications for Inspector Trainee, Mosquito Extermination. Under direction and supervision, performs work involved in learning to locate and recognize mosquito breeding areas, control mosquito populations and does other related duties as required.
