Job summary

Venture Global LNG is seeking an experienced Inspector, Quality Assurance - Electrical and Instrumentation to support inspection, integrity management, and compliance programs. You will ensure E&I equipment and systems are fit for service, correctly installed, tested, documented, and compliant before acceptance or operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible electrical and instrumentation inspection, construction, commissioning, maintenance, or operations experience in LNG or similar facilities.
• Experience in operating process facilities and during shutdowns/turnarounds is preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent quality surveillance and inspection of E&I maintenance, repair, modification, replacement, and operational readiness activities.
• Inspect electrical systems and equipment to verify installation and compliance.
• Verify cable installation, routing, termination, and electrical testing such as insulation resistance and transformer testing.
• Inspect instrumentation installation, calibration, range, accuracy, and environmental protection.
• Review calibration certificates and ensure traceability to standards.
• Provide enhanced quality verification for critical E&I systems.
• Support facility outages, shutdowns, and turnarounds with QA oversight.
• Assist transition of new or modified systems from Projects to Operations.
• Initiate and manage quality observations, NCRs, and corrective actions.

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Inspector, Quality Assurance - Electrical and Instrumentation to support inspection, integrity management, and compliance programs. The objective of the Inspector, Quality Assurance - Electrical and Instrumentation is to provide independent assurance that E&I equipment and systems are fit for intended service, correctly installed or maintained, properly tested, fully documented, and compliant with applicable requirements before acceptance or return to operation.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform independent quality surveillance and inspection of E&I maintenance, repair, modification, replacement, and operational readiness activities.
• Perform inspection and verification of electrical systems and equipment.
• Verify cable installation, segregation, routing, bending radius, support, termination, identification, gland installation, grounding, bonding, and environmental sealing.
• Verify electrical testing as applicable, including insulation resistance, continuity, grounding resistance, phase rotation, transformer testing, protective relay testing, breaker testing, motor testing, and functional testing.
• Inspect and verify installation, calibration, testing, maintenance, and replacement of instrumentation.
• Verify instrument identification, calibration range, accuracy, orientation, accessibility, tubing configuration, tubing supports, fittings, electrical terminations, grounding, shielding, and environmental protection.
• Review calibration certificates and verify traceability to appropriate national or international measurement standards.
• Provide enhanced quality verification for PSCE/SCE and other critical E&I systems.
• Inspect electrical and instrumentation installations in classified areas for compliance with the approved hazardous‑area classification drawings and applicable requirements.
• Provide E&I quality surveillance during facility outages, shutdowns, and turnarounds.
• Support transition of new or modified systems from Projects/Construction through Commissioning and into Operations.
• Initiate and manage quality observations, deficiencies, NCRs, and corrective actions within the facility QMS.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible electrical and instrumentation inspection, construction, commissioning, maintenance, or operations experience in LNG, petrochemical, refining, chemical, power generation, or similar process facilities.
• Experience working in operating process facilities and during shutdown/turnaround activities is preferred.

Licensing & Certifications

One or more of the following are desirable depending on assigned responsibilities:

• ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST)
• NFPA 70E training
• Hazardous-area / Ex inspection certification or formal competency training
• CompEx certification or equivalent
• NETA-related electrical testing experience or certification
• Electrical/instrumentation craft certification
• Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent quality certification
