Job summary

ProAmpac in Cary, IL is hiring for a full-time, on-site position supporting wrapping, packing, and assisting Slitter Operators to keep production running smoothly and safely. The role requires accuracy with measuring tools, basic math, and clear communication within a team.

Salary ranges from $18.37 to $22.26 per hour with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(K) with company match, PTO and 11 holidays, life and short-term disability insurance, plus wellness

Qualifications

• Read standard/metric measuring tape.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations or metric measurements.
• Able to work with all levels of employees.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Wrap and stack finished rolls to minimize downtime.
• Track packing supplies and inform Shipping Lead when reordering.
• Load wrapping station with supplies.
• Assist Slitter Operators when possible.
• Maintain clean work areas and assist with housekeeping.
• Operate bailer safely.
• Assist with cutting fiber and plastic cores.
• Clean and deburr plastic cores.
• Follow safety, quality, and employment policies.
• Daily equipment cleanup.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Salary Range: $18.37 - $22.26/hour (pending experience)

Hours: Sunday / 10pm - 6am

Tuesday - Thursday / 6pm - 6am

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to read standard/metric measuring tape.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematic calculations or standard metric measurements.
• Ability to work with all levels of employees.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Wrap and stack all finished slit rolls, in order to allow production employees to run machines with minimal down time
• Keep track of all packing supplies (e.g., boxes, roll cradles, and core plugs, etc.), and inform the Shipping Lead when reordering is necessary
• Load the wrapping station with proper supplies (e.g., boxes, core plugs, etc.)
• Assist Slitter Operators when able to do so
• Maintain work areas clean, assist with general housekeeping
• Operate bailer in a safe manner
• Assist slitter operators by cutting fiber and plastic cores
• Clean and deburr plastic cores
• Comply with all ProAmpac Safety, Quality, Operational and Employment policies and practices
• Day-to-day compliance with quality, food safety and prerequisite programs
• Daily cleanup of equipment
• Perform other duties as needed
