Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished cartons for quality and accuracy.
• Pack finished product from Flexo and/or N-Line machine into cartons.
• Assist machine operators and keep work area clean and organized.
• Follow safety rules and use safe working methods.
• Report any defects or process issues to supervision.
• Maintain compliance with SQF and food-safety standards.

Job Summary

The Inspector Packer position is responsible for inspecting and packing finished product from the Flexo and/or N-Line Machine.

Essential Functions

• Observe all Huhtamaki safety rules and always use safe working methods and procedures to avoid injury, injury to co-workers, or damage to company property.


• Always follow SQF and food safety regulations


• Inspect and pack finished cartons into a corrugated box


• Assist Flexo and/or N-Line Operator


• Clean area around machine


• Re-inspect cartons and visually inspect products for defects


• Communicate effectively with supervisors, lead persons and operators in matters such as but not limited to safety, quality, production, etc


• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Required

Job Qualifications

• Continuous mental and visual attention when performing work activities.


• Work shift work of 40 hours per week, with overtime possible


• Physically capable of moderate to light physical effort equivalent to frequently lifting or moving light to average weight.


• Frequently lifting 35lbs, occasionally bending, stooping crouching and climbing, frequent neck and trunk extension as associated with reaching above shoulders and frequent handling of supplies and tools overhead.


• Constant standing and walking.

Preferred

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.


• Prefer 1 year of manufacturing experience.
