Job summary

LYTRON INC. seeks an Inspector A for the 1st shift to visually and mechanically inspect a wide range of products and to set up measuring equipment that verifies conformance to customer specs.

The role requires a professional mechanical inspector certification and involves CMM programming, data collection, and collaboration with QA. The candidate will perform complex inspections, calibrations, and setup of gauges, documenting results and supporting production with quality assurance during visits

Qualifications

• Must hold a professionally recognized mechanical inspector certification.
• Experience reading complex blueprints and assembly prints.
• Experience with measuring equipment calibration and data recording.

Responsibilities

• Visually and mechanically inspect parts, subassemblies and assemblies to verify conformance to specs.
• Program CMM equipment and coordinate with QA on inspection projects.
• Set up complex gauging and measurement setups for new parts.
• Prepare reports and calculations of acceptance rates and rejections.
• Work with government and customer inspectors during visits.
