General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) in Hampton, AR, is seeking an Inspector II (SRM) to support quality and QE functions. The role conducts QC inspections across production stages to ensure compliance with standards and analyzes process data for deviations.

The candidate will establish inspection protocols, recommend specification changes, and lead corrective actions when non-conformances occur. This is an on-site, full-time position in a dynamic defense-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree with 2–4 years' quality experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains, manages and monitors the inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established quality standards.
  • Establishes & updates inspection protocols, defines sampling procedures, and determines equipment and mechanisms to be used in the testing process.
  • Recommends changes in specifications of materials, parts, and products based on inspection results.
  • May formulate and revise quality control policies and procedures.
  • Leads or advises on corrective actions due to instances of non-conformance.

Job Summary
  • Provides technical support to the quality and quality engineering (QE) functions
  • Conducts quality control (QC) inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards
  • Captures and analyzes statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards
  • Recommends new or enhanced methods, procedures and standards

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
  • This position is Safety-Sensitive.
