Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking a skilled Inspector II to ensure product quality and compliance. In this on-site role in Stuart, FL, you'll perform detailed inspections, verify material certifications, and interpret engineering drawings.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Inspect products using various inspection gages and scales.
  • Perform geometric layout inspection using standard gaging.
  • Prepare first article inspections to customer requirements.
  • Verify certifications and test incoming raw materials.
  • Function as Designated Quality Representative for shipments.
  • Examine products for surface defects.
  • Ensure dimensional compliance with drawings.
  • Interpret engineering drawings to determine quality standards.
  • Conduct in-process inspection and testing.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Inspector II to join our dynamic team. As an Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance before reaching our customers. You will be responsible for performing detailed inspections of parts and assemblies using a variety of tools and techniques, interpreting engineering drawings, and working closely with production and engineering teams.

Location

Stuart, FL. On‑Site. Monday to Thursday, 5 AM to 3 PM

Responsibilities
  • Inspect products using various inspection gages, scales, and visual inspection prior to product shipment
  • Perform complex geometric layout inspection using standard variable gaging and relative mathematics.
  • Prepare and submit first article inspections to customer requirements
  • Verification of certifications and testing of incoming raw materials
  • Function as Designated Quality Representative for various customers to release products for shipment.
  • Examine material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and other surface irregularities.
  • Compare product with applicable parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly.
  • Verifies dimensional compliance of all products with drawing and customer requirements.
  • Interprets engineering drawings and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Performs in-process inspection and testing of products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with all applicable mechanical and process related requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, and three (3) years of experience in Quality Control
  • Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Quality Control functions in a commercial or Aerospace environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft WORD and EXCEL
  • Must be able to understand and interpret customer drawings and engineering sketches
Working Conditions
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and have the ability to hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or crouch.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, at times up to 50 pounds.
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
