Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Stuart, Florida, is seeking a skilled inspector to join our quality-focused team. You will perform detailed inspections of parts and assemblies, interpret drawings, and verify certifications, ensuring products meet customer and regulatory requirements.

As an onsite role with a 3:15 PM–11:45 PM shift and a 10% differential, you will collaborate with production and engineering to drive first-time quality and continuous improvement across the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of experience in Quality Control; aerospace preferred.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to comply with ITAR/EAR regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect products using gages, scales, and visual inspection prior to shipment.
  • Perform complex geometric layout inspection using standard variable gaging and relative mathematics.
  • Prepare and submit first article inspections per customer requirements.
  • Verify certifications and testing of incoming raw materials.
  • Act as Designated Quality Representative for customers to release products for shipment.
  • Examine materials for surface defects such as cracks or pits.
  • Compare product with parts list or sample model to ensure proper assembly.
  • Verify dimensional compliance with drawings and customer requirements.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and confer with management/engineering on quality standards.
  • Perform in-process inspection and testing to ensure compliance with mechanical/process requirements.

About the Opportunity:

As an Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance before reaching our customers. You will be responsible for performing detailed inspections of parts and assemblies using a variety of tools and techniques, interpreting engineering drawings, and working closely with production and engineering teams.

Location:

Stuart, FL. Onsite. Monday to Friday, 3:15 PM to 11:45 PM (10% Shift Differential)

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect products using various inspection gages, scales, and visual inspection prior to product shipment
  • Perform complex geometric layout inspection using standard variable gaging and relative mathematics.

  • Function as Designated Quality Representative for various customers to release products for shipment.
  • Examine material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and other surface irregularities.
  • Compare product with applicable parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly.
  • Verifies dimensional compliance of all products with drawing and customer requirements.
  • Interprets engineering drawings and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Performs in-process inspection and testing of products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with all applicable mechanical and process related requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience in Quality Control function (Commercial or Aerospace environment preferred)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English
  • Must be able to understand and interpret customer drawings and engineering sketches
  • Proficiency in Microsoft WORD and EXCEL
Working Conditions:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and have the ability to hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or crouch.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, at times up to 50 pounds.
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
