Job summary

TE Connectivity’s in-process Inspection role ensures only conforming assemblies are built and shipped. The position operates in a cleanroom and requires full PPE. It’s a 2nd shift role, Mon-Fri, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, and you will use precision inspection equipment to verify product and record quality data.

Candidates should have a High School diploma and at least 1 year in manufacturing. Familiarity with AS9102 first article inspections and SAP ERP is preferred to support cross-functional teams in

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and customer requirements.
  • Experience with product inspection and measurement tools.
  • Proficient with vision systems, optical comparators, microscopes, and other measurement equipment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) and data entry for quality tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize precision inspection equipment to qualify and verify product.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI).
  • Evaluate nonconforming material and provide input on condition.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to process inspection requests promptly.
  • Operate in a cleanroom with required PPE and know ITAR/EAR restrictions.

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s in-process Inspection role is responsible for ensuring only conforming assemblies are built and shipped out of the facility. This role is primarily conducted in a cleanroom requiring special PPE to be worn at all times. An Inspector in this role will need to display attention for detail, have a willingness to continuously learn, exhibit excellent work ethic, and strive to share in positive team interactions every day.

This is a 2nd shift role. Work hours are Mon-Fri from 3:00 pm-11:30 pm.

Job Requirements
  • Follow all company policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Utilize precision inspection equipment to qualify/verify product
  • Understanding the importance of Good Documentation Practices, complete Quality records accurately and legibly and file appropriately
  • Be familiar with, and utilize, the organization’s ERP system (i.e., SAP)
  • Perform First Article Inspections
  • Evaluate nonconforming material to provide input regarding condition
  • Be familiar with first article inspection requirements per AS9102
  • Perform data entry to support monitoring of quality/performance trends
  • Perform documentation review and dimension, assembly, and color sequence verification on assembled materials
  • Perform product inspections on the production floor
  • Assist in programing inspection equipment as required
  • Use verbal and written communication to exchange information required to complete essential duties and responsibilities
  • Work with a cross-functional team to process inspection requests in a timely manner

This position requires access to information that is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent residents, persons granted asylee status in the U.S., or persons admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.

What Your Background Should Look Like
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Competent with Microsoft Office applications
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and customer requirements
  • Experience with product inspection
  • Proficient with standard dimensional gages-caliper, micrometer, drop Indicator, comparator
  • Proficient with Vision Systems, Digital Optical Comparator, microscopes, and other advanced measurement test equipment
  • Proven effective contributor in a team environment
  • Have a Quality mindset
