Job summary

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of inspection experience on‑site during construction in Electrical inspection.
  • Strong understanding of industry codes and quality assurance best practices.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools, equipment, and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Review specifications, procedures and standards on the construction site.
  • Electrical testing monitoring.
  • Inspection, witnessing or verification of quality of materials, structures or systems.
  • Factory acceptance tests of installations and equipment.
  • Monitor electrical systems of plant equipment before and during installation.
  • Maintain organized record retention systems.
  • Inspect materials, workmanship and processes for conformance with project specs and codes.
  • Collaborate with senior inspectors to troubleshoot and deliver quality projects.
  • Exercise independent judgment in selecting work methods and improving processes.
  • Ensure timely completion of inspections and reports.
  • Review work for completeness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training and mentoring of team members.
  • Communicate findings clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection results for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement and construction teams to ensure quality standards.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities
  • Review of specifications, procedures and specified standards utilized on the construction site
  • Electrical tsting monitoring
  • Inspection, witnessing or verification to establish the quality of a material, structure or system
  • Factory acceptance tests of installations and equipment
  • Monitoring electrical systems of plant equipment before and during installation
  • Organization and implementation of record retention systems
  • Inspect materials, workmanship, and processes to verify conformance with project specifications and industry codes, ensuring quality, compliance, and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with senior inspectors and project teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex challenges, contributing to the successful delivery of innovative, sustainable projects.
  • Exercise independent judgment in selecting work methods and making improvements, while aligning with company policies and project goals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all inspections and reports
  • Review work for completeness and accuracy, adhering to industry standards and promoting compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge, fostering both personal development and the continuous improvement of the team.
  • Provide occasional guidance and support to team members, sharing best practices and promoting a collaborative and high‑performance culture.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with project objectives.
  • Demonstrate an intermediate understanding of relevant systems, processes, and tools
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure adherence to project quality standards.
  • Identify and document non‑conformities, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken in alignment with project and company guidelines.
  • Participate in quality audits and assessments, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on quality assurance practices, assisting teams in understanding and applying relevant quality procedures.
  • Support project execution by offering technical expertise in mechanical quality control, helping to resolve issues and optimize performance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results, tests, and compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required experience
  • Industry standard certifications preferred
  • 10+ years of inspection experience on‑site during construction in Electrical inspection
  • Technical school graduate or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience in quality control or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality control inspections with a strong understanding of industry codes, regulatory standards, and quality assurance best practices.
  • Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently and exercise sound judgment in dynamic project environments.
  • Proficiency in using tools, equipment, and systems specific to quality control inspections, ensuring accurate and efficient project execution.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with team members and stakeholders across different disciplines.
  • Intermediate understanding of project systems, processes, and tools
  • Willingness to lead and mentor others when necessary, promoting continuous improvement and a commitment to quality within the team.

  • Must be able to walk long distances

  • Must be able to stand for extended durations
  • Must be able to reach in all directions
  • Must have good visual acuity with regards to color, depth perception and field vision
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold temperatures
  • Must be alert and able to determine job related hazards and recognize when hazards change
  • Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment and clearly and professionally communicate with other team members Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record is required
