StandardAero, Inc. is seeking a Detail Inspector in Ohio to perform visual inspections of aircraft parts, document findings, and maintain accurate records. You will support production through process improvements and proper RTS handling, while ensuring parts are clean and compliant.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to grow through hands-on training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• US citizen or permanent resident required
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and sit for long periods
• Experience in aircraft maintenance or repair facility preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections of aircraft parts and determine their scrap or serviceable status.
• Input inspection information accurately into the system.
• Ensure products are clean and in acceptable condition for inspections.
• Determine repairability of products not meeting requirements.
• Record inspection results and generate cost estimates and repair documentation.
• Inspect and identify parts in the Reduced to Spares (RTS) process.
• Supervise detail inspection trainees in the on-the-job training (OJT) process.
• Participate in continuous improvement of cell processes.
• Cross-train in complementary skills and support production requirements.
• Move between production assignments requiring multiple skills.
• Observe safety requirements and report unsafe practices or conditions.

What you'll do:

• Conduct visual inspections of aircraft parts and determine their scrap or serviceable status.


• Input inspection information accurately into the system.


• Ensure products are clean and in acceptable condition for inspections.


• Determine repairability of products not meeting requirements.


• Record inspection results and generate cost estimates and repair documentation.


• Inspect and identify parts in the Reduced to Spares (RTS) process.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident


• Regularly required to sit for prolonged periods.


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day.

Desired Skills:

• Previous inspection experience preferred.


• Experience in an aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul facility preferred.


• Knowledgeable in technical writing.


• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.


• Working knowledge of production management computer systems.
