Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC in Sumter, SC is seeking an Injection Moulding Quality Inspector to monitor and audit processes for product quality. The role reports to the Quality Engineer and requires basic testing, measurement, and SAP QA module documentation. A 12-hour night shift (7pm–7am) on a 3-2-2-3 rotation is involved.

Qualifications

• 6 months QA experience or exposure.
• Ability to navigate a Windows-based computer.
• Experience using measurement devices listed in the job duties.
• No supervision of others.
• Must be able to perform auditing and inspection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing procedures and simple statistical analysis.
• Inspect products before release per specifications.
• Apply sampling plans and record results in SAP QC module.
• Report non-conformances to Quality and Production Management.
• Maintain safety, environment, and quality system standards.
• Follow site safety and quality policies.
• Perform additional duties as directed by Quality Management.

Job Description:

• Injection Moulding Quality Inspector.
• Reports directly to the Quality Engineer. Directly monitors, inspects, and audits the process and product for compliance to specifications, assures integrity of process control systems and detects trends in product quality where applicable.

Essential Functions:

• Must possess the ability to perform various testing procedures and simple statistical analysis.
• Perform complete inspection of product prior to release according to applicable specifications within assigned Business Unit.
• Apply appropriate statistical sampling plan.
• Stat sample or contain all hold products as applicable per the appropriate specification requirements.
• Record the results of inspections and audit findings on the appropriate forms and/or in the Quality Module of SAP.
• Report all product non-conformance issues to Quality and Production Management where appropriate.
• Maintains adherence to all safety, environmental and quality system standards.
• Perform all other miscellaneous duties as appropriately directed by Quality Management or designate.
• Follow all site required safety and quality policies.

Education:

• H.S. diploma (if hired after 01-Jun-2000). Internal transfers exempted.

Experience:

• 6 months QA experience or exposure.

Knowledge, skills, or abilities required:

• Ability to navigate a computer in a Windows based environment.
• Use of measurement devices such as Callipers, Go/No-Go Gauges, Optical Comparators, Digital Force gauges and rules.
• An assessment will be applied to gauge proficiency of some of the above requirements.
• No Supervision of others.

Working Conditions:

• Position is a 12-hr-night shift position on a 3-2-2-3 rotation 7pm-7am.

• False eyelashes, press-on fingernails, and Jewellery is not allowed on the production floor including dermal. Any associate wearing dermal will be required to cover them while working on the production floor.
• Shoes are required to be Steel Toe and non-slip for all associates while on the production.
