Job summary

Certified Aviation Services is seeking an experienced Aircraft Inspector to perform quality inspections of aircraft maintenance, repairs, alterations, and related documentation. This role ensures maintenance work is completed in accordance with FAA regulations, approved technical data, manufacturer requirements, CAS procedures, and applicable customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
  • Previous aircraft inspection, quality control, or aircraft maintenance experience required.
  • Experience working in an FAA Part 145 repair station, airline, or commercial aircraft maintenance environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures and technical documentation.
  • Ability to interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, technical data, and maintenance instructions.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations applicable to aircraft maintenance and inspection.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to identify maintenance discrepancies and determine whether work meets applicable requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively with mechanics, supervisors, quality personnel, and management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of aircraft maintenance, repairs, alterations, and installations.
  • Inspect work performed by A&P mechanics and maintenance personnel for compliance with approved procedures and technical data.
  • Verify completed maintenance work meets applicable FAA, manufacturer, customer, and CAS requirements.
  • Review maintenance records, work orders, inspection records, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform required in-process, final, and return-to-service inspections as authorized.
  • Identify maintenance discrepancies and ensure corrective actions are properly documented and completed.
  • Verify the proper use of current maintenance manuals, technical publications, engineering data, and applicable Airworthiness Directives.
  • Ensure required inspections and maintenance documentation are properly completed before aircraft or components are released.
  • Assist with quality audits, investigations, and corrective-action activities.
  • Monitor maintenance practices and identify potential quality or compliance concerns.
  • Communicate inspection findings clearly to maintenance personnel and management.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
  • Support CAS compliance with applicable FAA regulations and Repair Station procedures.
  • Promote a safety-focused and quality-driven work environment.
  • Perform other inspection and quality-related duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Certified Aviation Services is seeking an experienced Aircraft Inspector to perform quality inspections of aircraft maintenance, repairs, alterations, and related documentation. This position will ensure maintenance work is completed in accordance with FAA regulations, approved technical data, manufacturer requirements, CAS procedures, and applicable customer requirements.

  • Commercial aircraft or heavy maintenance experience.
  • Part 145 repair station experience.
  • Experience performing in-process and final inspections.
  • Experience reviewing aircraft maintenance records and return-to-service documentation.
Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to work in an aircraft maintenance environment.
  • Ability to access aircraft and maintenance areas, including climbing stairs/ladders and working in confined areas when required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and work around aircraft for extended periods.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends or overtime, based on operational requirements.
