Job Summary

PennAero is hiring an Inspection Supervisor for Allfast Fastening Systems in City of Industry, CA. Allfast Fastening Systems is a leading global manufacturer of solid and blind rivets, blind bolts, temporary fasteners, and installation tools for the aerospace industry. The Inspector Supervisor will oversee daily quality inspection and testing for in‑process, receiving, and final products, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and all test activities comply with AS9100D and NADCAP requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations of final/receiving/in‑process inspection, calibration, and certification.
  • Support the PMRB process: validate rejected material, assist with disposition and processing.
  • Identify and segregate non‑conforming product, if applicable.
  • Perform training and qualification of personnel as necessary.
  • Manage consumable supplies inventory critical to the Quality function, including inspection supplies and cost‑reduction opportunities.
  • Validate new software used for acceptance testing and inspection, in accordance with NADCAP requirements.
  • Interface with suppliers, coordinating service and calibration activities.
  • Create inspection and test plans.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Quality Process (AS9100) procedure requirements as they apply to inspection, testing, and manufacturing operations.
  • Read, interpret, and execute applicable procedures, specifications, work instructions, etc.
  • Review Shop Travelers and purchase orders to determine required inspection parameters and verify completion of previous operations.
  • Ensure all test equipment and materials are maintained in good working condition and are calibrated as required.
  • Assist with SPC process and perform data analysis as required; support automated inspection programming (e.g., Keyence).
  • Support internal and external audits as determined by the Quality Manager.
  • Perform and document results of all required equipment checks; report nonconforming conditions to the Quality Manager.
  • Create, review, and print product certification certificates.
  • Coordinate Quality department schedules to ensure adequate coverage to support operations.
  • Understand, adhere to, and demonstrate the company's commitment to quality and safety.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by Management.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement internal quality assurance policies and procedures in accordance with Metallurgical Lab Manager.
  • Communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of industry and customer quality assurance codes and standards.

This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the City of Industry, CA location.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED and five (5) years experience in Quality Inspection and/or Testing.
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience as a lead or in a decision‑making role within the Quality Department.
Physical Demands

Representative of those required to perform the essential functions: talk or hear, sit frequently, stand, walk, and use hands; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; requires clear, color, depth vision and focus adjustment.

Compensation

Expected pay range: $90,000 – $120,000. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location. Additional incentives such as equity, commissions, or other variable bonuses may apply.
