Job summary

AOI is seeking a Shift Inspection Engineer based in Sugar Land, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for the visual inspection of compound semiconductor Laser Wafers and Chips, focusing on enhancing defect detection systems in a cleanroom environment.

The role includes training personnel, monitoring product inspection yields, and optimizing inspection tools. Additionally, the engineer will conduct duties like developing visual inspection recipes and performing regular maintenance of inspection hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science is required.
• Knowledge of cameras, lenses, optics, lighting, and others for image capture.
• Troubleshooting capabilities needed for inspection issues.

Responsibilities

• Implement improvements for defect inspection overkill and escape.
• Train operators and technicians on inspection processes.
• Perform sampling reviews of chip photos for AI model building.
