Job summary

Vishay Centerline in Hudson, Massachusetts, is seeking an inspector to monitor quality and ensure substrates meet specifications. The role operates on the 2nd shift (2pm-12:30am, Mon-Thurs) with potential cross-training on finishing machines.

We are looking for an inspector with a keen eye for detail to monitor the quality of the products that we provide our customers. This person will be responsible for checking substrates for defects and imperfections at various points in the production process. In addition to inspection, they will be cross-trained to operate some of our precision finishing machines.

To excel in this position, a candidate should have great focus, be attentive to detail and have the desire to constantly learn and improve individually as well as with a team.

Vishay Centerline is located in Hudson, Massachusetts. There are around 20 employees in this machine shop operation and it is a first shift operation. This role is an on-site position.

2nd Shift 2pm-12:30am Mon-Thurs (4 day work week)

What you will be doing:

• Inspecting materials to print before, during, and after the production process
• Cleaning and packing parts
• Populating the Yield Analysis Board
• Documenting findings
• Using high & low powered microscopes, micrometers and calipers
• Maintain a clean work area and equipment in an orderly condition
• Communicating with the machine operators and management regularly

What you will bring along:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Excellent hand eye coordination and finger dexterity required.
• Demonstrated experience handling small and fragile parts.
• Must have a continuous improvement attitude and strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of personal ownership and a team attitude.
