$57,000 - $67,000 a year

The Role:

As an Insights and Monitoring Analyst at Penta Group, you will use research and data to help clients understand what is shaping their reputation, how their communications are performing and which emerging issues could affect their business. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will turn your findings into clear reports, presentations and recommendations that inform advice on communications, brand, public policy and government relations.

This role is suited to a recent graduate or early career professional who follows the news, enjoys research and writing, and is interested in how companies build trust and navigate complex business and policy environments. Penta provides training and professional development to help you grow as an analyst and adviser.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and monitor media, social and policy developments to identify the issues, risks and narratives shaping clients’ reputations, and help prepare timely alerts and briefings.
  • Learn clients’ businesses, audiences and goals so research addresses the questions that matter most to them.
  • Support ongoing monitoring, benchmarking and communications measurement, as well as focused analysis on new client questions.
  • Write clear reports and presentations that explain findings and why they matter, and contribute to recommendations.
  • Organize and quality-check research data, including automated classifications, using Excel and research tools to spot patterns and present accurate findings
  • Collaborate with account teams and fellow analysts and participate in client meetings.
  • Manage deadlines, incorporate feedback and help improve the quality of our research.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Communications, journalism, political science, public policy, business, history and other social sciences are all relevant.
  • A strong interest in news, media, corporate reputation and public affairs
  • Strong research and critical thinking skills, close attention to detail and the ability to distinguish evidence from assumption.
  • Comfort with numbers and a working knowledge of Excel, with a willingness to build data analysis and visualization skills.
  • Strong time management and the ability to balance multiple deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach and a willingness to ask questions, learn from feedback and own the quality of your work.
Salary Range:

The base salary range for this position will be $57,000 - $67,000, depending on a candidate’s experience and qualifications as they relate to the position.

Benefits:
  • Penta Group is proud to offer a generous benefits package for full-time employees. Please find a list below of our current benefit offerings:
  • Excellent health care, vision, and dental coverage provided by United Healthcare with a significant portion of individual employee premiums, and 50% of dependent premiums, covered by the company

  • Employer paid short term disability, long term disability, and life insurance, with the option to buy additional coverage
  • Twelve weeks paid parental leave
  • Flexible paid time off and a generous holiday schedule
  • Monthly stipend for cell phone
  • Optional pet insurance coverage
  • Frequent firm-wide social events and activities
  • An excellent environment for learning and growth
