A leading furniture manufacturing company in Archdale, NC is seeking an experienced Insider to join their Upholstery Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should have over 3 years of experience in upholstery for fine custom furniture, including expertise in hand-tufting or machine tufting. Responsibilities include reading production tickets, operating specialized tools, and ensuring quality upholstery assembly. Qualifications

• Experience with hand-tufting or machine tufting.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow production tickets and any special instructions.
• Assemble upholstery by applying appropriate amounts of cotton and rubber.
• Cover with fabric and ensure smooth fitting.
• Ensure fabric is smooth and fits the frame properly.
• Maintain short, uniform pleats.
• Meet production deadlines according to schedule.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Scan the piece after completion and obtain approval for outsiding.

General Description

• Ability to read production tickets and any special instructions
• Utilize tools such as staple gun, scissors, regulator, button needle, staple puller, pliers, tape measure etc.
• Apply the right amount of cotton and rubber in the seat, inside back, and arms and then apply fabric over the cotton and rubber to complete the inside of an upholstered piece of furniture
• Fabric must be upholstered smooth and fit the frame properly
• All pleats must be short and uniform
• Build pieces on time according to production schedule
• Keep work area clean and clear
• Scan the piece out once it is completed and approved for outsiding
