Job Responsibilities
- Assist with counter sales and customer service activities as needed.
- Process internal and external customer inquiries received by phone, email, mail, online platforms, or other communication channels.
- Support outside sales personnel by preparing quotations, bids, and customer orders.
- Enter and maintain customer orders, quotes, bids, and related sales documentation.
- Purchase products necessary to fulfill customer orders.
- Quote and sell products that provide value to customers while supporting company profitability goals.
- Identify, contact, quote, and close sales opportunities with prospective and existing customers.
- Utilize electronic and printed catalogs to provide product, pricing, and availability information.
- Resolve customer concerns and requests or coordinate with management for additional support when necessary.
- Increase sales through cross selling, up selling, add on sales, promotional products, and new product offerings.
- Promote and sell excess inventory and discontinued products.
- Handle customer complaints, returns, and service issues professionally and courteously.
- Provide after hours support to internal and external customers when required.
- Maintain and expand product knowledge to effectively support customer needs.
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, and market activity.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Adhere to company policies, confidentiality requirements, ethical business standards, and conflict of interest guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to customer transactions.
- Collaborate with branch personnel and sales teams to support business objectives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous inside sales, customer service, industrial distribution, warehouse, or related experience preferred.

Physical Demands
- Ability to regularly lift and move products weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to stock and retrieve products stored from ground level to heights of up to six feet.
- Ability to load products into delivery vehicles with bed heights of approximately three to four feet.
- Ability to climb stairs while carrying products and materials.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in office, warehouse, and customer service environments.
