Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. in Auburn, AL is seeking an Inside Sales Professional - Driver to identify and serve customer needs, process orders, locate parts, and support sales growth. The role includes occasional forklift operation, warehouse duties, and delivering items as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of customer service and/or sales experience
• 2 years’ experience in the HVAC industry, preferred
• Proficient in computers, including Microsoft Office
• Forklift experience
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record as determined by Company Driver Policies
• Meet federal and state requirements to operate the vehicle

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders in person, by phone, fax, and e-commerce, including transfers and delivery requests
• Locate parts, equipment, and supplies for our customers from various sources
• Support long‑term business relationships to promote sales growth
• Assist in warehouse duties, including pulling customer orders and stocking; occasionally operating a forklift
• Promote products, upgrades, and services to our customers
• Assist customers with technical support and problem solving
• Identify prospective customers through store or phone sales and report to the sales team
• Maintain showroom shelves and product displays
• Process warranties
• Perform cycle counts and assist in inventory accuracy
• Make occasional deliveries using a site vehicle
• Participate in after‑hours on‑call duties and training classes
• Work overtime as assigned
• Work cooperatively with others
• Comply with all company policies; maintain regular attendance

Job Purpose

The purpose of the Inside Sales Professional - Driver (ISP) is to identify and serve the needs of our customers, assist them in obtaining products or information, and provide excellent customer service while fulfilling the many needs of customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Process customer orders received in person (at the sales counter) or by phone, fax, and e-commerce, including company transfers and delivery requests
• Locate parts, equipment, and supplies for our customers from various sources
• Support long‑term business relationships with our customers to help promote sales growth and gain acceptance
• Assist in warehouse duties, including pulling customer orders and putting away stock while occasionally operating a forklift
• Promote new and existing products, upgrades, and services to our customers
• Assist customers with technical support and problem solving
• Identify prospective/future customers through store or phone sales and communicate prospects to the sales team (Territory Managers or Account Executives)
• Maintain a professional atmosphere of the sales facility by restocking and maintaining both showroom shelves and product displays
• Process warranties
• Perform cycle counts and assist in maintaining accuracy of physical inventory
• Make occasional deliveries using a site vehicle
• Participate in after‑hours on‑call duties and training classes
