Job summary

Maine Oxy in South Portland, ME is seeking an Inside Sales professional to deliver exceptional customer service, develop product knowledge, and support both inside and outside sales efforts in a busy retail-like environment.

You will handle pricing, quotes, and negotiations while building relationships with key customers. The role requires willingness to learn about welding and industrial gases, and comfort using handheld devices to access systems.

Qualifications

• Retail or inside sales experience preferred.
• Experience welding/industrial gases preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with industry products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service with strong product knowledge.
• Troubleshoot technical questions from customers and team members.
• Support all aspects of store operations.
• Complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Build relationships as the primary in-store contact for key customers.
• Assist with pricing, quotes, and occasional negotiations.
• Support both inside and outside sales teams.
• Assemble equipment, stock shelves, and create engaging displays.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment.
• Jump in where needed—no two days are the same.
